Month of the Military Child

April has the honor of celebrating all of our Military Children! Between the hustle and bustle of daily life and the Navy's mission at hand, we often forget to acknowledge our little heroes that always remain ever so resilient and strong.  Think about the things that many military children are faced with -- new homes and new friends mean missing old homes and old friends; a lessened sense of belonging and home; one or both of their parents being gone for months at a time; new schools and new curriculum's -- this month we honor all of these sacrifices that they make for our country!

The Fleet & Family Support Center would like to invite parents and children (under the age of 5) to our Children's Discovery Time on April 13 at 1030.  Lunch will be provided as well as interactive games and activities.  This event takes place at the old Housing Community Center, building 996.

Please also visit us this week at Aker's "Boots at Breakfast" as well as on April 22 at the CDC's "Field Day."

We salute you, military children!!!!!
