Are you the parent of a teenager? If so, has your teen already started exploring the new and exciting world of dating? As a parent, you might find it hard to come up with the right things to say to your teen in order to warn them about the dangers of abuse. However, although it might be a difficult and uncomfortable topic, it is absolutely vital to your child's safety.
Let the Fleet & Family Support Center help you with that very important talk. "Help! My Teen is Dating" is intended to educate parents on the different types of abuse their teens can be subjected to as well as help answer questions about how to handle each situation. This workshop, specifically held for parents with teenagers, is on Wednesday, April 6 from 4:30 - 5:30 PM at the FFSC (Building 966).
You CAN be a parent that feels comfortable talking to your teen about sex and dating! Let this workshop be your guide.
