According
to Fit Pregnancy, “August is National
Breastfeeding Awareness Month. The breastfeeding campaign, funded by the U.S.
Department of Health and Human Services, hopes to empower women to commit to breastfeeding
by highlighting new research showing that babies who are exclusively breastfed
for six months are less likely to develop ear infections, diarrhea and
respiratory illnesses, and may be less likely to develop childhood obesity.”
The New Parent Support
Home Visitation Program at the Fleet and
Family Support Center would
like to promote Breastfeeding
Awareness Month and acknowledge all breastfeeding moms,
breastfeeding advocates, and breastfeeding educators. Our New Parent Support team can provide

household
•
Prenatal and postnatal care
•
Infant care, growth, and development
•
Community resources available
The New Parent Support Program provides parenting classes, home visitation and
many other services for children ages 0-3!
Please
call 559-998-4042 to register for parenting classes, for New Parent Support
